Caring Ministries


2019 Caring Ministries at the United Methodist Church of Lenox


Caring Ministries has taken an active role in the community by meeting and being involved with local non-profit agencies.  Together we are making a difference within our community. We express our love and concern for individuals in need on a “one to one” basis.


Valentine Shoebox Ministries ~ 40 decorated shoeboxes filled with personal care items, prayers and notes delivered to Barton’s Crossing.


Fleece Blankets ~ 100 blankets distributed to people in need; Barton’s Crossing, Our Friend’s House, Elizabeth Freeman House and Habitat for Humanity. 


Breakfast for Lenox Food Pantry Families ~ Breakfasts cooked and served by UMC Lenox volunteers and Food Pantry volunteers


Keep Warm Tree ~ Hats, Mittens/Gloves and Scarves were distributed between the Lenox Community Center, the Christian Center and the Dream Center.


Greeting Cards Ministry ~ 45 Cards sent monthly to church members, homebound people from the Lenox Community Center and college students.


Visitation Ministry ~ Six visitations monthly to homebound members.


Easter Bags ~ Gifts packaged in a bag and delivered to the children at Our Friends House, Elizabeth Freeman House, the YMCA children at the church and Strong Little Souls (PHS student makes up gift bags for children with cancer).


Socks for the Needy ~ Bombas donated socks for us to distribute to the community; Barton’s Crossing, Our Friends House, Soldier-On, Feed my Sheep, etc.


Soup & Dessert with Soldier-On ~ Food cooked, served, and shared by UMC Lenox volunteers.


Feeding the Habitat Workers during the 2019 Blitz ~ Cooked and supplied lunches and dinner for 2 days during the week-long event.
